The Courtyard: Chinese Co-living Center

The co-living center draws inspiration from traditional Chinese architecture - Sanhe yuan. The three buildings within the co-living center include a communal main house, where everyone is welcome to gather and socialize, and two wings that serve as private living spaces for residents. The courtyard is a beautiful outdoor area for residents and visitors to enjoy.

Furthermore, the interior design features a series of gates, which symbolize overcoming a series of challenges in Chinese culture.

The Gabrielle Hotel

The Gabrielle Hotel's designs feature clean lines, simple shapes, and subdued colors, creating a timeless and understated look that aligns well with Chanel's design philosophy. The main visual color scheme of the Gabrielle Hotel's designs is carefully curated to emphasize their iconic black and white colors, which are highlighted with red velvet accents throughout the space. This color combination creates a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere that is both stylish and timeless. In addition, the use of tweed, a classic and luxurious textile, adds a tactile element to the design and further enhances its sophistication.

Soho Jewelry Store

The store is designed like a museum to give clients a high-end experience. The quality and workmanship of the jewelry is such that clients would want to eventually display this jewelry in their homes for others to view. Navy blue is used as the main color scheme to create a more formal setting. The whole space is trimmed with gilded elements, a Chinese symbol for wealth and prosperity. The color palette is inspired by the shades of a sunset and the jewelry on display is as dazzling as the setting sun.

Andre Chiang's Kitchen

My design is based on shape and material itself. This space has been reduced to its essential function through geometric forms, exposed structures, and little adornment. The main tone is a reddish-brown tone The color scheme is inspired by the different changes in copper, The color changes in the interior are like the different stages of experiencing taste after food enters our mouth.

Furniture Design

This dining set was inspired by the tubular chair and wiggle chair. The overall look of this chair design is sleek and minimalist, with clean lines and a simple yet elegant appearance. The curved metal tubing can add a sense of fluidity to the design while also providing strength and stability to the chair.

Physical Therapy Center

The design of the space is meant to build a solid, supportive atmosphere. My concept is based on three elements: balance, harmony, and the colors of nature. The color scheme is inspired by Mark Rothko’s Color Field paintings. I admire how he used different portions of colors to make his paintings appear balanced. The interior is painted with neutral bright tones that are highlighted with bold colors in order to cheer patients up and to bring some interests into the space.
